For the last week, the healthcare community has offered a number of basic preventative measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, including the importance of handwashing, frequent cleaning and disinfecting, and social distancing.
That last one in particular begs the question: What do you do if you have a scheduled appointment with your physician?
At this time, you are welcome to keep your appointment and visit the office as planned. However, providers within the Saratoga Hospital Medical Group are aware that patients may have concerns about routine and/or non-emergent visits, so you have a few options at your disposal:
- You may send a message to your provider through the patient portal. Please use this option for non-urgent concerns only.
- If you are interested in maintaining your scheduled appointment, but looking for alternatives to meeting face-to-face, you may participate in a phone call or a video visit with your provider at the time of your appointment.
At this time, you are welcome to keep your appointment if you’re well. It not, we encourage you to call the office and discuss either rescheduling your appointment or utilizing one of the alternative appointment options. You can find all contact information website.
